SB 994 Bill Supporters Want Bill of Rights for Car Owners’ Connected Car Data
An new bill from Senator Bill Morning (D-Carmel) measure, SB 994 which defines who has car data access, gives control and choice to drivers. It will be considered by a Senate policy committee in the next few weeks. The bill is supported by the AAA and Your Car Your Data Coalition.

Apple Connects Cars to iPhone5/5s/5c to Beats, Spotify & iHeart Radio
At the Geneva Auto Show, Apple announced Apple CarPlay for iPod/iPad/iPhone and iOS in cars that will first arrive in Ferrari, Mercedez-Benz Hyundai and Volvo in 2104.

The new Ford Focus has rear sensors for the Cross-Traffic Alerts warning drivers of traffic while driving in reverse as well as blind spot alerts. The City Stop feature will try to stop the Ford if there is chance of accident.
Mitsubishi Heads Up for Prediction Driving
Mitsubishi Electric has the “Ultra-simple HMI” which predicts what the driver wants to do an then shows options on screen in front of the driver’s eyes that can be activated by voice or easy-to-reach buttons, called the HMI.
The screen is 17.w inches making it easier to see and requires less eye movement.
