Ford Auto Connected Cars to Bloggers at MWC
Ford will socialize its marketing with the connected EcoSport cars in a six month blog and social media campaign. Ford of Europe will show a new automated research car with automated driving and other advanced technology after 2025.
The event will start at Mobile World Congress called EcoSport Live. Cars will be loaned to one hundred of the hippest bloggers to write about the EcoSports connectivity via social media.
Renault Kwid Lauches Bird’s-Eye View of Connected Car with Flying Copter Drones
We drivers in low riding compact cars often wish we had bird’s eye view of traffic like SUV and truck driver’s see. In the future, a car may send out a flying quadro-copter flying companion drone that will eagle scout dangers and traffic on the road ahead.
Renault besides its auto-connected concept car, the “Next Two” also showed the Kwid copter concept car at the Chicago auto show.

Even though Gen Y through Boomers want connected cars, the National Safety Council today warned of the dangers of too much infotainment going on while driving and support initiatives by car companies and after market manufacturers to limit infotainment functionality when requested by the driver and or parents.

One one the problems with driving in connected cars in bad weather such as storm or rain storms is that the driver has to keep his attention on the road. AccuWeather will offer a way to hear the latest weather conditions with Kaliki Audio for audio weather information forecasts in GM cars.
AccuWeather announced its partnership with BT Software and the Kaliki Audio Newsstand to allow drivers hear current weather conditions and forecasts on-demand in their cars in 2014.
Chevy to Have AT&T 4G LTE in Summer 2014 to Connect Corvette, Impala, Malibu & Volt
Cevrolet partnered with OnStar 4G LTE and AT&T for optional Wi-Fi hotspots for 2015 Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Malibu, and Volt with OnStar 4G LTE installed.
AT&T customers will be able to add their Chevy to AT&T Mobile Share plans. Drivers can also pay for data separately. Pricing and data packages for OnStar 4G LTE will be announced later in 2014.
