“The all-new Palisade reflects our deep understanding of customer needs,” said Olabisi Boyle, Hyundai’s senior vice president for product planning and mobility strategy. “From the bold new design and hybrid option to the adventure-ready XRT PRO, we’ve engineered a vehicle that aligns with today’s diverse lifestyles.”
Design Evolution, Inside and Out
Visually, the new Palisade projects a more commanding presence, starting with a vertical LED light signature, wide grille, and active airflow shutters. Though the profile is boxier and more upright, Hyundai has achieved a segment-leading drag coefficient of 0.31 Cd. Dimensions are noticeably larger, with a 2.5-inch increase in length and a wheelbase stretched by 2.7 inches.
At the rear, a vertical lighting setup, taller shoulder lines and integrated roof rails reinforce the vehicle’s road presence. New D-pillars and expansive side glass lend improved visibility to the third row, while up to 21-inch wheels anchor the SUV’s premium silhouette.
The interior has also grown. A refined horizontal dashboard houses dual 12.3-inch displays and soft-touch finishes inspired by high-end furnishings. Second-row captain’s chairs are available, and the third row offers power-recline, sliding, and folding functions. Passengers across all rows benefit from upgraded USB-C ports and available seat heating and ventilation.
Technology and Safety Come Standard
Technological upgrades include a two-camera dash cam that records while driving or parked, an optional UV-C sterilization compartment in the center console, and a digital rearview mirror. Hyundai Digital Key 2.0 allows drivers to access and start the vehicle via smartphone or smartwatch, while over-the-air updates promise ongoing software improvements.
A suite of SmartSense active safety systems comes standard, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance, and Remote Smart Parking Assist. Ten airbags now include third-row coverage with pretensioners and force limiters—a rarity in this segment.
Powertrains: Now With a Hybrid Option
Hyundai introduces a hybrid option for the first time, pairing a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with electric motors to produce a combined 329 horsepower and an estimated 339 pound-feet of torque. With a projected 30+ mpg on the highway and up to 619 miles of range, it also offers an estimated 4,000-pound towing capacity.
The standard powertrain is a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 delivering 287 horsepower and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and available HTRAC all-wheel drive.
The XRT PRO: Trail-Ready From the Factory
For those with off-road ambitions, Hyundai unveils the new XRT PRO trim—its most capable SUV yet. With 8.4 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, and exclusive design cues like red recovery hooks and dark-finish alloy wheels, the XRT PRO is ready for backcountry travel.
A Connected SUV for the Connected Driver
The next-generation Bluelink system integrates voice control, remote vehicle access, and in-car payments via Hyundai Pay®. The Palisade’s in-car Wi-Fi hotspot supports streaming and browsing, while Alexa integration allows drivers to use voice commands for navigation, entertainment, and more.
With more space, enhanced safety, and improved technology—now with a choice between gasoline and hybrid drivetrains—the 2026 Palisade reinforces Hyundai’s ambitions to remain a dominant player in the three-row SUV market.
