Mullen Automotive Delivers Class 1 EV Cargo Van to Orange County, NC

Mullen Automotive has delivered its Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, to Orange County, North Carolina, for use by the Solid Waste Management Department. The purchase aligns with the county’s Climate Action Plan to transition its fleet to all-electric by 2025. Fulfilled by National Auto Fleet Group under a Sourcewell contract, the zero-emission vehicle supports the county’s sustainability goals. Mullen’s commercial EV lineup, including the Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE, meets U.S. regulatory standards and offers eco-friendly solutions for government and municipal operations.

Mullen Automotive EVs Approved for Government Purchase Through Sourcewell Contract

Mullen Automotive announced that its all-electric commercial vehicles—the Mullen ONE (Class 1 EV cargo van) and Mullen THREE (Class 3 EV cab chassis truck)—are now available for public sector purchasing through National Auto Fleet Group’s (NAFG) Sourcewell contract. This approval allows government agencies and educational institutions to acquire Mullen’s EVs without lengthy bidding processes.

Sourcewell, a government agency facilitating public procurement, partners with NAFG, a California-based vehicle dealer with two awarded contracts. NAFG also offers point-of-sale vouchers through the California Air Resource Board (CARB) HVIP program. The Mullen THREE, with a $68,500 MSRP, may qualify for up to $45,000 in HVIP vouchers and a $7,500 federal tax credit, reducing its effective cost to under $17,000. CEO David Michery highlighted the streamlined purchasing process as a key advantage for municipal customers.v
