LOS ANGELES — To display its automotive innovation and industry leadership, Karma Automotive hosted its annual Create Karma 2025 event, bringing together leading minds from technology, education, business, and civic sectors. The forum underscored the transformative role of emerging automotive technologies while unveiling the company’s strategic vision for workforce development and community engagement in Southern California.
At the heart of the event was the world premiere of the Karma Amaris, an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) performance coupe, setting a new standard in high-performance and sustainable luxury automobiles. Beyond product innovation, Create Karma 2025 served as a platform for Karma Automotive to reinforce its commitment to advancing software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and artificial intelligence, as well as fostering the next generation of automotive professionals.
“Create Karma is our platform to bring the industry, our partners, and our community together to tell our story, spark new ideas, and meaningfully contribute to the future of Southern California,” said Marques McCammon, President of Karma Automotive. “This event is about more than just unveiling new products—it’s about redefining what’s possible in innovation and how that can create a better future for our communities and the broader industry.”
The program was structured around three core themes—Community, Technology, and Experience—each representing a pillar of Karma Automotive’s forward-thinking philosophy.
Community: Fostering Career Pathways in Clean Transportation
Karma Automotive introduced the Clean Transportation Technology Collaborative, a multi-stakeholder initiative designed to accelerate workforce development and job creation in the automotive, software, and clean energy sectors. Partnering with key institutions such as CerraCap Venture, Inland Southern California United Way, Orange County Business Council, San Diego State University, Sustain SoCal, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside, the initiative aims to equip Southern California’s youth with the skills required for the industry’s future.
Technology: Advancing Software-Defined Vehicles
As the industry transitions toward AI-driven and software-centric automobiles, Karma Automotive highlighted its partnership with Intel Automotive to push the boundaries of SDV technology. The company showcased the potential of SDVs to revolutionize vehicle manufacturing and enhance the driving experience through improved efficiency, intelligence, and adaptability. The event also provided an update on joint development activities between Karma and Intel, building on their recent presentation at CES 2025.
Experience: A New Era of Performance and Luxury
A centerpiece of Create Karma 2025 was the highly anticipated world premiere of the Karma Amaris, the company’s first two-door coupe and a testament to its vision of uncompromising performance and design. Expected to enter production in late 2026, the Amaris will incorporate a refined EREV powertrain featuring a turbocharged four-cylinder internal combustion engine generator. It is projected to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds, reaching an estimated top speed of 165 mph.
The Amaris exemplifies the evolution of Karma’s Comet Line design language, first introduced with the ultra-luxury Karma Kaveya super-coupe. Crafted with a lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum body, the vehicle merges aesthetics with aerodynamics to deliver a striking yet functional design. Pricing details are to be announced at a later date.
Looking Ahead
Alongside the Amaris, Karma Automotive showcased its latest lineup, including the third-generation Karma Revero and Revero Invictus, while offering attendees an exclusive preview of its forthcoming ultra-luxury EV models. The event provided a glimpse into the company’s commitment to blending performance, sustainability, and design excellence.
With Create Karma 2025, Karma Automotive reaffirmed its place at the forefront of the industry’s technological evolution. By fostering collaboration across sectors and investing in the workforce of tomorrow, the company aims not only to shape the future of automotive innovation but to leave a lasting impact on the Southern California community.
