The 2025 Toyota Mirai continues its hydrogen fuel cell innovation with a 402-mile EPA-estimated range. This year, the Mirai will be offered exclusively in the XLE grade, featuring standard upgrades like a Panoramic View Monitor, Digital Key capability*, and parking assist.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 remains standard, providing advanced driver assistance features. Built on the GA-L rear-wheel-drive platform, the Mirai delivers a smooth, quiet ride with a sophisticated multilink suspension. The exterior boasts a sleek, low-profile design with 19-inch wheels, LED lighting, and power-folding mirrors.
Innovating with Hydrogen
The Mirai is a “plug-less” electric vehicle, generating electricity onboard from hydrogen, emitting only water. Its fuel cell system combines stored hydrogen with oxygen from the air, creating electric current and water, which exits via a vent pipe.
Unlike battery-electric vehicles requiring hours to charge, the Mirai refuels in minutes with compressed hydrogen gas. Electricity from the fuel cell and regenerative braking is stored in a lithium-ion battery, powering a rear-mounted AC synchronous electric motor. An electric air compressor pressurizes intake air, cooled before entering the fuel cell stack for efficiency.
The intake system minimizes noise and purifies air via an electrostatic cleaner for fine particles and a charcoal filter for chemicals.
Premium Rear-Wheel Drive Experience
Built on the GA-L rear-wheel-drive platform, the Mirai offers a refined, sporty drive with a sophisticated multilink suspension. Its high-strength structure, using laser screw welding and adhesive bonding, ensures a smooth, quiet ride.
Active Cornering Assist enhances stability in turns, while Hill Start Assist enables seamless takeoffs on inclines.
Bold, Modern Design
The Mirai’s low, wide stance and sweeping roofline create a sleek, aerodynamic look. It features 19-inch aluminum wheels, auto-leveling bi-beam LED headlights, LED taillights, and power-folding mirrors with turn signals and puddle lights.
Inside, heated SofTex®-trimmed power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a refined cabin offer comfort. Available in six colors, including Hydro Blue and Elemental Silver Metallic†.

A 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen provides easy access to navigation, climate, and entertainment, with a Panoramic View Monitor for a 360-degree perspective. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster includes an ECO drive indicator and fuel range display.
