Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID), the electric vehicle manufacturer known for its advanced technology and long-range capabilities, has announced a suite of innovative charging features for its upcoming Lucid Gravity SUV. These advancements, including seamless integration with the Tesla Supercharger network, reinforce Lucid’s ambition to redefine the electric vehicle landscape.
Beginning January 31, the Lucid Gravity will be among the first non-Tesla vehicles to natively utilize the extensive Tesla Supercharger network across the United States and Canada. The SUV comes equipped with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing direct access to the Supercharger network without the need for an adapter.

With today’s announcement, we are adding another critical advantage: industry-leading charging convenience.”
Revolutionary Charging Capabilities
Lucid’s Gravity SUV boasts a next-generation 926-volt powertrain capable of fast-charging speeds up to 400 kW. Unlike conventional pack-splitting solutions employed by other manufacturers, Lucid has developed a proprietary technology that utilizes the vehicle’s rear motor drive unit to boost charging voltage, ensuring compatibility across both 500V and 1000V charging infrastructures. This breakthrough allows the Gravity to sustain charging speeds of up to 225 kW at Tesla’s V3 Superchargers and beyond.
Emad Dlala, Lucid’s vice president of powertrain, emphasized the significance of this development. “We have engineered a system that enables the Lucid Gravity to achieve unmatched fast-charging speeds and seamless access to multiple charging networks, including Tesla Superchargers and Electrify America. This level of accessibility is a game-changer for EV drivers.”
The efficiency of Lucid’s charging technology means that at peak performance, the Gravity can add 200 miles of range in under 12 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging electric vehicles on the market.

Built on Lucid’s newly developed 926V platform, the Gravity features a 123 kWh battery pack optimized for efficiency and longevity. A collaboration with Panasonic has yielded chemistry enhancements that further improve thermal capacity and energy retention, enabling an estimated range of up to 450 miles on a single charge.
The SUV also incorporates bidirectional charging capabilities, allowing owners to utilize the vehicle as a power source. Through Lucid’s RangeXchange system, Gravity owners can charge other electric vehicles directly via the NACS connector, expanding the practical applications of its charging technology.
With seating for up to seven adults and a design focused on aerodynamic efficiency, the Lucid Gravity blends practicality with high performance. A low 0.24 coefficient of drag contributes to its range and efficiency, ensuring it competes not just in the luxury SUV segment but as a leader in electric mobility.
### **Expanding Access to Charging Networks**
Lucid’s integration with Tesla’s Supercharger network marks a significant step toward improving charging accessibility for its customers. The Gravity’s NACS charge port is positioned for easy access at Tesla’s V3 and V4 Superchargers, while also supporting CCS1 and SAE J1772 adapters. Notably, Lucid’s CCS1 adapter is rated for 500A at 1000V, enabling charging speeds of up to 400 kW even through a standard NACS connector.
Following the launch of the Gravity, Lucid plans to extend Tesla Supercharger access to its flagship sedan, the Lucid Air, by the second quarter of 2025, further broadening its charging ecosystem.
Availability and Pricing
The Lucid Gravity is available for pre-order at LucidMotors.com, with Touring models set to launch in late 2025 at a starting price of $79,900. The high-performance Grand Touring edition is available for order now, beginning at $94,900.
