Hyundai Offers Free Tesla Supercharger Adapters for EV Owners Starting 2025
Hyundai is making it easier for EV owners to access Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network. Beginning in the first quarter of 2025, Hyundai EV owners who purchased or leased their vehicles on or before January 31, 2025, can request a complimentary NACS (North American Charging Standard) adapter through the MyHyundai portal. The adapter will enable Hyundai’s CCS-equipped EVs to charge at over 20,000 Tesla Supercharger locations across the U.S.
Eligible models include:
- 2024 and earlier: KONA Electric, IONIQ hatchback, IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6
- 2025 models: IONIQ 6, IONIQ 5 N, KONA Electric
Hyundai also announced future models, such as the IONIQ 9, will come equipped with native NACS ports to further improve charging accessibility. Details on how to claim the free adapter, along with additional pricing information, will be provided in early 2025. Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis will also participate in the program, with specifics expected next year.

Pioneer Power Solutions announced a $1.3 million order from the City of Portland, Oregon, for multiple e-Boost Mobile units, to be delivered in the second quarter of 2025. The order, placed through Graybar Electric, will support Portland’s growing electrified fleet needs. The chosen e-Boost Mobile ‘Open Flex’ model features a 175kW power unit, fast chargers, and a grid-tie transfer switch. This flexible solution will address Portland’s immediate charging needs while awaiting grid infrastructure upgrades, and can be deployed in remote areas without grid access. The order highlights the growing demand for fleet electrification solutions in both urban and remote locations across the U.S.
