SERVPRO Commits to Lordstown Motors Endurance

SERVPRO, a fire and water restoration company servicing counties in Ohio and Pennsylvania, has signed a letter of intent to purchase 1,200 Endurance™ electric pickup trucks from Lordstown Motors Corp., a new original equipment manufacturer (OEM). As part of the collective commitment to provide outstanding service at a fair and equitable price, the letter of intent confirms a combined obligation, from both companies, to support local businesses in communities where they work and live.

“The Total Cost of Ownership provided by the Endurance truck continues to resonate with our commercial fleet customers,” said Steve Burns, Lordstown Motors CEO. “When combined with factory-installed telematics, fewer moving parts and increased safety features, the Endurance represents an excellent opportunity for SERVPRO to lower their overall cost of doing business.”

As fire, water and mold experts, SERVPRO provides excellent ancillary services such as biohazard cleanup, HVAC cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, asbestos abatement, power washing, vandalism and much more. With a current fleet of more than 40 vehicles of different sizes, shapes, and utility, the Endurance pickup will complement the fleet and allow SERVPRO to deliver the response time that customers have grown to expect.

“The Endurance truck provides our company with added utility, flexibility, and performance across all divisions,” says Jim Standohar, Marketing Manager. “Our Project Managers look for value and economy, our production crew requires towing capacity and our construction division hauls on a regular basis, so we are excited to see how the Endurance truck will amplify our day-to-day operations.”

SERVPRO sees the long-term goal of sharing the opportunity and the benefits of this vehicle with neighboring SERVPRO franchise owners in Western PA and Northeast OH. There are dozens of them in these areas that have the same needs and business demands. In the immediate future it is likely to see hundreds, if not thousands of The Endurance trucks in operation in the restoration industry.

The Letter of Intent ensures that SERVPRO will be among the first commercial fleet customers to begin to receive delivery of the Endurance pickup truck in early 2021 when full scale production begins.
