Ford SYNC 3 gets up-to-minute rain, snow, sleet or hail

AccuWeather’s award-winning iOS App seamlessly syncs with Ford vehicles through Ford’s in-car, voice-activated AppLink technology. With the push of a button, AppLink allows users to simply speak to request their local weather information and it is instantly displayed on the car’s smartphone-like touchscreen in the language of the country where they live, now available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Through SYNC 3 and AppLink, AccuWeather also provides access to detailed weather information including severe weather alerts, daily forecasts with high and low temperatures, and local summary forecasts so that travelers know what to expect in the next 3-5 days to plan ahead.

In December 2015,  Ford announced at the Ford Developer Conference that developers can use more of Ford’s all-new SYNC 3 technology including the advanced voice recognition and touchscreen user interface to create apps . SYNC AppLink enables drivers to voice-control smartphone apps from the driver’s seat.

Ford’s new faster easier SYNC 3 infotainment system with smartphone integration was launched last summer on the 2016 Ford Fiesta and Escape.

At CES 2016 Ford’s CEO Matt Fields said that Ford SYNC 3 has the highest level of satisfaction any car system.
