The Tesla 3 is following in the foot steps of the iPhone with lines forming outside of store to accept deposits of $1000.
“Most of lines should have died down by now, they should be able to take your order,” a Tesla phone order rep told AUTO Connected Car News.

Ordering will go live online at 7:30 pm PDT at the Tesla website.
Elon Musk via his Twitter feed tweeted, tonight will be “Part 1 of the Model 3 unveil. Part 2, which takes things to another level, will be closer to production.”
He tweets that he is incredibly inspired by the interest in Model 3. He promises buyers won’t be disappointed. A small token of appreciation coming for those who lined up at stores to place orders.
The popularity is incredible. Telsa Motors has limited Model 3 orders, whether in store or online, to two per person.
Ordering online is not limited to the United States. Tesla Motors several more countries to Model 3 order page tonight. India, Brazil, South America, SK, New Zealand, Singapore and Ireland.
The Telsa Model 3 is expected to be a smaller less expensive version of the Model S with a price around $35,000 with a driving range of 200 miles on a charge.
Apparently, line waiters were given free coffee.
Tesla vehicles are all assembled in the company’s state-of-the-art factory in Fremont, north of San Jose.
The most popular places to buy Tesla cars are are Los Angeles 20.4%, Bay Area 17.6%, New York 6.8%, Seattle 4.2% and Chicago 4% according to Edmunds.com
There could be delays. The Tesla X was delayed due to the gull-wing doors and were originally going to launch early- to mid-2014 arrival, but the first units of the SUV were not delivered until late 2015 way above the $85,000 price tag.
The Tesla 3 is not expected to be delivered until the end of next year. There will live a live broadcast of the first part of the revealing of the Tesla 3 at 8:30 pm PDT at the Telsa Motors website.
Dan Mitchell, President of High Tech Business Association, UCLA Anderson School of Management, tweeted from a Century City store event that Musk said hello and thanked the line waiters. Musk made an effort to shake everyone’s hand.
