With severe winter snow storms in parts of the country, all-wheel-drive vehicles offers better traction and peace of mind. If you are in the market for all-wheel drive vehicle, January is a good month to buy because there are notable savings off MSRP on multiple model AWD vehicles, according to TrueCar.
TrueCar reports that consumers in the market for cars, crossover utility vehicles and pickup trucks with either all-wheel or four-wheel drive system can find large discounts this month.
Jeep’s four-wheel drive Cherokee is selling at as much as 14 percent off MSRP this month. The Mazda CX-5 with all-wheel drive is available with zero percent financing for up to 36 months. Subaru is offering a special lease promotion of $199 for 36 months on its Legacy model, standard with all-wheel drive. Truecar users can save thousands off MSRP on a new car.
Historically, January yields the lowest level of savings off MSRP compared to the rest of the year. On average, consumers can expect to save 6.8 percent off MSRP this month versus December, which produces the largest discount off MSRP with 7.7 percent savings.
Published monthly, the “TrueSavings” report analyzes recent transaction prices and identifies opportunities for consumer savings.
