AT&T powers Jaguar Land Rover infotainment in North America

jag_fpace_shanghai_image_040915_Cropper_HeroAT&T and Jaguar Land Rover North America are offering high-speed Internet for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in North America through a new multi-year agreement. AT&T connectivity will power “infotainment” such as Wi-Fi hotspots, connected navigation and apps.

AT&T began offering wireless connectivity in the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models this month, and will support more Jaguar and Land Rover models later this year.

Jaguar Land Rover can add vehicles to their AT&T Mobile Share Value plans.  The cost for adding vehicles to a Mobile Share Value plan is $10 for the access charge per month.

In 2014, AT&T launched two major initiatives to lead innovation in the connected car space. The first was a  connected car innovation center in Atlanta, called the AT&T Drive Studio. It also launched a new global automotive solution and development platform, AT&T Drive.

AT&T recently announced the Mobley Wi-Fi hotspot device for cars and a concept Internet connected wheel chair.
