Autonet Mobile, Internet telematics and app platform provider for vehicles, announced that Mopar has launched Mopar Connect, powered by Autonet Mobile.
Mopar Connect is a telematics service that allows subscribers to control their car from a smartphone. The service requires a Mopar Connect system device and then allows subscribers to start their car, lock doors and open the trunk, as well as other functions.
Mopar connect enables in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots, alarm notifications, car locating, Valet Mode, Speed Tracker, Curfew Management, Geo Zones, Parental Controls and the ability to remotely operate functions normally found on the key fob.
The Mopar Connect system is available in new Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles, or can be dealer installed in existing models.
Your vehicle must be equipped with a Mopar Connect system to use the applications. This system is available on most models from 2011 on. The Mopar service bundle costs $199 a year it includes:
- Alarm Notification
- Curfews Management
- Find My Car
- Geo Zones
- Mopar Connect Smartphone App
- Speed Tracker
- Valet Mode
Services are also available separately with different pricing for each feature.
2G/3G Wi-Fi data can be purchased by the year, month, week or day. One GB is $9.95 a day, $19.95 a week or $29.95 a month or $229.95 for 1GB a month.
