FCA offers new UConnect features: for locating, navigating, listening and maintaining

uconnectFCA (Fiat/Chrysler Automobiles) announced four new Uconnect  services that include Vehicle Finder, Send Destination to Vehicle, a Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Vehicle Health Alert. These features are for Fiat, Chrysler and Dodger automobiles with compatible systems.

The Uconnect Access smartphone app has been updated with a new look, for faster ways to connect to remote services that includeVehicle Finder and Send Destination to Vehicle.

Using Vehicle Finder, drivers can view the location of their vehicle via map, satellite or hybrid views. A prompt menu offers to Find Route or Sound Horn. The Send Destination to Vehicle service allows customers to send a location address directly to their Uconnect system’s touchscreen and navigate with ease. Vehicle Heath report sends a monthly report that is sent to customers’ personal email accounts informing them about their vehicle’s performance status. Uconnect Access customers have access to Vehicle Health Alert. They will receive email alerts if the key powertrain, oil and fluids, brakes, suspension or safety systems requires attention.

Launching in the redesigned Ram 1500 and the new SRT Viper, Uconnect Access Via Mobile, integrates Aha, iHeart Radio, Pandora Internet Radio or Slacker Radio apps with the vehicle’s Uconnect Access system. Content is streamed through the customer’s existing smartphone data plan.

New features will be available to Uconnect Access customers in the first half of 2015 on select 2015 model year vehicles equipped with 8.4A or 8.4AN Uconnect systems with an active Uconnect Access subscription.
