BMW will debut its ConnectedDrive Store at CES International, allowing U.S. owners to purchase apps and other services directly from BMW from inside their cars.
Features of ConnectedDrive Store include:
- Concierge services – live representative for help finding hotels, restaurants and more. The rep can make phone call on the driver’s behalf if one does not have access to a cell phone.
- Navigation Map Updates – navigation services.
- Internet service, which drivers can access safely and conveniently by iDrive Controller and the integrated high-resolution Control Display.
- Log of paid services and use.
Once selected and paid for, a service or app can be used within minutes.
BMW will display a single controller with screen display on the BMW Interface of the Future.
BMW will demonstrate advancements in Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions and automotive lighting technology.
Connected Mobility demonstrations will show how to connect to cars and improve convenience in travel, starting at home on your couch through your smart TV or on-the-go through your Smartwatch.
BMW will also have an exhibit presenting the innovative, holistic portfolio of BMW i Mobility Services that help make life easier.
Test drives of the M235i, M3, M4 Coupe and all-electric BMW i3 will be available on a first come, first served basis at the South Plaza during show hours January 6-9. A valid Driver’s License is required.
