The Connected Car Expo at the LA Auto Show announced major speakers and programs from Volvo, Hyundai, GM/OnStar, Audi/NVIDIA, Ford and Jaguar Land Rover.
Volvo Car Group President & CEO, Hakan Samuelsson, will be the headline speaker at Connected Car Expo (CCE) at the LA Auto Show on Nov. 18 conference.
Samuelsson will discuss Volvo’s promise that no one would be killed or seriously injured in a Volvo vehicle by 2020. He will also demo the “Drive Me” autonomous vehicle showcasing autonomous lane following, speed adaption and merging traffic capabilities at a press conference.
Hyundai will show designs and demonstrate the Genesis Intelligent Assistant, Blue Link 3.0 app, Assurance Car Care in-vehicle app, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
GM and OnStar will demo 4G LTE connectivity.
Audi and NVIDIA will demonstrate how automotive innovation and infotainment are accelerating and preview the next generation of Audi’s modular infotainment platform (MIB), powered by NVIDIA.
Ford will host its Connected Car-Connected City App Pursuit finalists and announce winners at the LA Auto Show’s Connected City Summit on Thursday, Nov. 20.
Jaguar Land Rover will be holding its news conference about new technology coming to its product lines on Tuesday, Nov. 18
On Nov. 18, all press conferences will be held on the floor of CCE. All registered CCE attendees as well as journalists registered for the LA Auto Show Press & Trade Days are welcome to attend. Only the CCE exhibit areas (located in South Hall Lobby) will be open on Nov. 18; all remaining halls will be accessible on Nov. 19 and 20.
Show organizers are introducing the Connected City Summit on Nov. 20. with leaders in the automotive, technology and government sectors to address issues including infrastructure, cyber security and urban architecture evolution.
