2015 Lexus LS comes with super connected car features and 12.3″ screen

lexusinteriorLexus announced the features of its new 2015 Lexus LS line with many new high-tech features including a new multimedia infotainment system with a 12.3-inch screen.

The new multimedia system with navigation screen has predictive traffic with detour preview, ETA calculation and when the tank is near empty it shows gas stations nearby. The free Lexus Enform App Suite features bird’s eye map views with 3D building views, to make finding destinations easier.

The new Lexus Enform Remote (one year complimentary subscription) can control features via a mobile app such as remote door lock/unlock; remote stop/start for the engine/climate control, car locator, and guest driver monitor.

Display Audio includes HD Radio, Bluetooth audio, automatic phone book transfer, vehicle information and complimentary traffic and weather data from HD Radio. When you like a song on HD Radio and you can tap “cache” to save up to 15 minutes of music to replay later

The Lexus Enform App now includes iHeartRadio 4 and Slacker Radio and still offers Pandora.

Siri Eyes Free Mode, lets drivers call contacts, select and play music from iTunes, get turn-by-turn navigation through Siri and Apple maps with compatible iPhone models.

Steering wheel buttons control, climate, audio systems, navigation, and a paired cell phone.

Voice-enabled apps let the users search with Bing, reserve tables at OpenTable, buy tickets from MovieTickets.com, check reviews on Yelp and check in on Facebook Places.

Lexus Enform Safety Connect, Lexus Enform Remote, and Lexus Enform Destination Services come with one-year trial subscriptions for help 24 hours a day.

The 10-speaker Premium Sound System has a Digital Sound Processor, Automatic Sound Levelizer andsingle-feed DVD/CD player.

Driver-assist technologies, include the Advanced Pre-Collision System (A-PCS) with Collision Avoidance Assist.At speeds lower than 24 mph, this technology can help the driver to avoid accidents by automatically bringing the LS to a full stop.

The Dome lamps use LED bulbs and Dynamic gridlines have been added to backup camera

The TFT (Thin Film Transistor) color multi-information display shows driving range of remaining fuel in tank, average fuel consumption, average fuel consumption since refueling, current fuel consumption, average speed since vehicle started, outside temperature, elapsed time, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control settings (if equipped) and maintenance/diagnostic messages.

There’s even “Trunk lid opens without key fob being within range when vehicle is unlocked.” The feature is in cases where the driver does not want to take the key fob out of the car to unlock the trunk such as when a bell captian is adding luggage to the trunk or when a passenger wants to retrieve items from the trunk.
