chargepointappThere are more ChargePoint charging stations than Starbucks, McDonald’s, 7-Eleven: 8,160,Dunkin’ Donuts or Wal-marts. BMW’s new fast chargers are supported. EV owners can find charging stations online or via Android and iPhone apps.

When drivers realized there are so many places to  charge an EVs, they’re more likely to consider buying EVs.  There are many charging stations are at many stores.

With 18,000 charging locations across U.S. and Canada, ChargePoint has more spots than the number of Starbucks: 14,958, McDonald’s: 13,890, 7-Eleven: 8,160, Dunkin’ Donuts: 7,681 and Walmart: 5,256.

 

ChargePoint also recently announced that the BMW i DC Fast Charger and Efacec station models, will be the first SAE Combo chargers on the ChargePoint network. Currently ChargePoint has nearly 100 DC fast chargers on their open network.

Nissan offers free charging for Nissan Leaf owners as does BMW offer free charging.

ChargePoint’s real-time network information including the availability of charging locations throughout the nation is available through the ChargePoint mobile app, online and via the navigation systems in top-selling EVs including the new BMW i3 and the Nissan LEAF. Every 8 seconds, a driver connects to a ChargePoint station and by initiating over 5.6 million charging sessions, ChargePoint drivers have saved over 4.9 million gallons of gasoline and driven 117 million gas free miles.

Chargepoint apps let users see all ChargePoint network stations with real-time availability,  allow connections with station hosts for preferred pricing, access and special offers. Drivers can cancel and change reservations for charging sessions.
