Hyundai Motor America announced pricing for the all-new 2015 Sonata begins at $21,150 that is $300 less than the base model it replaces.
Hyundai notes that the Hyundai offers class-above features for a mid-size sedan such as hands-free phones, Smart Trunk, Smart Cruise Control with stop/start capability, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel.
Hyundai engineers designed many active safety technologies for the 2015 Sonata to help drivers and help prevent accidents including:
- Forward Collision Warning,
- Blind Spot Detection.
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Lane Departure Warning System
There have been reports that Hyundai is testing automatic slowing of cars when speed radar traps are detected.
2015 Sonata comes standard with seven airbags, including a new driver’s knee airbag designed to help prevent the driver from sliding down the seat in a collision, which allows the other restraint systems to be more effective.
The Hyundai Sonata will be the first Hyundai cars to have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The model was launched in June and should be showing up in dealers around the country shortly.
