AT&T and Volvo have partnered for connected cars in the U.S. and Canada for wireless connectivity.
AT&T will provide Volvo’s Sensus Connect with AT&T wireless this summer. Volvo customers will a have access to Volvo On Call, a service allowing remote access to car functions and an emergency crash notification service. Volvo plans to enable cars with AT&T on-board for sale this summer using AT&T Single SIM platform.”
AT&T will also be the wireless provider for Chevy (Corvette, Impala, Malibu & Volt), Tesla and Audi. AT&T has a Drive Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Prices have not been announced for U.S. AT&T customers, it was previously announced that AT&T customers will be able to add their vehicles to their shared plans.
