Volvo along with updating Sensus Connect, on-board infotainment and navigation solutions through cloud-based services, Volvo Car Group also announced it would be the first to market with Pandora internet radio service via the Volvo Cloud.Volvo’s partnership with Ericsson offers cloud-based connectivity to its customers. Sensus Connect will provide offer the first fully integrated Pandora solution. With Pandora, listeners can choose their own radio experience and discover new music.
Using Pandora with Sensus Connect is seamless. Volvo’s solution uses the cloud and can be accessed when Pandora is selected in the car via the touch controls on the steering wheel.
Volvo drivers can choose to stream Pandora via a data connection provided by the built-in modem or their smartphone.
Volvo Connected Touch was the reddot design award winner for 2013.
Volvo Sensus Connect lets users browse the internet, stream music, radio or podcasts and get travel directions with controls on the steering wheel.
